A scam advert for an "expert writer team" to write journal articles for you or provide editing services. It's for the journal "One health and risk management", which mysteriously has an h-index of 6 (I think they are trying to pretend it's an impact factor!). The subject areas they can write for you include "occupational health mibrobologlogy", "cotsutiorall auileiriil resiases", and "nursing and immungony". There's a lot of repetition and even more bizarre non-words. And they want to write the article for you! They seem to both write the article and publish the article, and I guess collect tasty fees for both.

You have repeatedly made statements about how concerned you are about developing the careers of scientists early in their careers. Yet many of the scientists directly affected by the unprecedented grant terminations are these early career scientists. The grant success rate for early career scientists, recently presented at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Advisory Council meeting, was substantially lower than in previous years. You have spoken (at least on podcasts) about the importance of giving young scientists a chance to receive substantial funding to work on their most innovative ideas, yet the NIH program developed just for that purpose made fewer awards than in more than a decade.

Second, and much more important, you do not seem to understand you are currently the Director of the National Institutes of Health. Many of your comments focus on the COVID pandemic. This was certainly an important event in American and international public health but represents a small percentage of what the National Institutes of Health is responsible for and is becoming largely a historical event.

Sigh. I did my grad school lit searching using hard copy Chem Abstracts and taking notes about the content of papers on a yellow pad because xeroxing papers was expensive. 👵🦕 People who remember the Hell of paper Chem Abstracts are a dying breed, I fear.
