Spotted in their natural habitat, the elusive Subarus will herd together. Naturalists believe the alpha Outback leads the pack toward trailheads or Trader Joe’s by instinct.

Even though it mustered only 356 words to justify putting Trump's spiteful anti-trans passport policy back into effect, #SCOTUS managed to show us two of the flawed analytical moves it keeps making *only* in Trump cases to provide cover for granting emergency relief.

My latest, via "One First":
189. The Breezy Inequity of Trump v. Orr
The Supreme Court's latest grant of emergency relief to the Trump administration illustrates in technicolor the direct (and ugly) consequences of the two different ways it keeps messing up "equity."

This article manages to name her husband before it names… her.

I almost outed myself as unhinged in my legislation class when we were talking about the Tellico Dam and the snail darter and I almost raised my hand and said “I think the LORD created this unique and precious fish and it would be an unforgivably blasphemous act to cause its extinction”

When I drive the kids to school I usually have a big playlist on shuffle and just skip through until I find a song I want and I need you to know that tiny son made me go back to play this one after I had skipped it because my child has taste 🤌

I rarely defend Americans, but we shouldn't forget that American GenZ started the student protests in 2023, were beaten to a pulp by police, got thrown out of school, lost scholarships, had their degrees revoked, etc. An Egyptian friend of mine joked "those kids were Arab Springed" Funny but true.

The feminine urge to obsess about Gettysburg
Every dad has a favorite battle and never stops talking about it
I have a running theory that all dads can have their personality types inferred by their answer to “what is your favorite war?” It’s like astrology, but for dads

"Okay so imagine girls are currency and—wait, come back! I didn't even get to the *really* dehumanizing part, yet!"
What it sounds like when philosophers who are also anti-trans activists submit an amicus brief to a US court where they argue for banning trans girls and women from women's sports.

When you engage with a Zionist, or someone who supports "Israel's right to exist" (as it actually exists) you're dealing with a person who is at a fundamental level willing to see an unlimited number of children murdered to preserve Jewish supremacism in Israel/Palestine. These are modern day Nazis.

Yeah my job is pretty cool. My uniform is a tactical vest that’s two sizes too small and a gaiter I bought in a gas station. They send me to sneak into schools to kidnap little kids because people got mad about having to press 1 for English. The president had to warn everyone to stop spitting on me.

So the start of summer marks about one year since I finally admitted to the people closest to me what I’ve known for probably longer than I’d like to admit: I am a lesbian. A lot has changed and it hasn’t been easy, but I have so much love in my life now and I thank God for bringing me out

Republicans don’t want more “parents” at home. They want women at home, out of the public sphere, economically dependent on men for their whole lives— permanently relegated to second class citizens.

Fixed it for you, NYT.

Well, here we go. The GOP has just introduced a bill to effectively outlaw all pornography.

The bill dismantles the Supreme Court's Miller Test for obscenity, removing provisions that the content be patently offensive to community standards.
