nice surprise this morning trying to leave for work: the brand new tube & tire I bought just before leaving town is completely flat & won't hold air, now I'm kicking myself for replacing them at a bike shop nowhere near my house. getting the bike back there with a flat is going to be a major pita 😖

Just thinking again how Democrats asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."

using up arugula, mizuna, and some turnip greens I pulled from the garden before I left town, plus I still had kohlrabi from a few weeks back so I cooked it up in a spicy stir fry with some frozen corn, ginger, and chiles. not quite weather appropriate but after a bunch of travel this is what I need

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

If this comes to pass I feel like tonight gets remembered as the night we completely lost faith. They all need to be primaried. Any one of them who doesn’t speak out against this. This cannot stand.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

the airport flyer here runs every 20 minutes, with 4 stops in downtown gothenburg then no others until the airport. it's a clean, comfy tour-size bus w/ luggage compartment underneath, instead of everyone packing onto a city bus with all their luggage (I'm side-eyeing you, prt). it's $12 each way.
