All my life I was told I was Jewish, I was stopped by Hasids on the streets asking me to wrap Tefillin, I was invited to Jewish holidays from strangers, etc.

The ONLY time I’ve been told I’m NOT a real Jew is when I criticize Israel.

Go fuck yourself Alex

The takeaway should be that running passionately on progressive platforms and having actual beliefs gets your more votes than running the same old sex pests in suits who only know how to react to polls and donors. Let’s see if the Democratic Party actually embraces this lesson

It's like something from a very poorly written dystopian novel.
Not being allowed to hand water to people in line to vote no matter who they are voting for, while being allowed to hand people million dollar checks to get their vote, is the most American thing ever.

a thought i’ll put out there: it is not the ideological moderation that is the electoral problem, it is that selecting for candidates who chase popular issue positions is necessarily selecting for candidates who exude the kind of focused-group affect that voters genuinely hate

I feel like I'm going insane every time I see a media story about DOGE that doesn't also mention the fact that the Government Accountability Office exists and performs the exact function that DOGE pretends to, only in a credibly constitutional, non-partisan, and conflict-of-interest-free manner

After the iPhone 16 reveal, people complained about a lack of smartphone innovation and blamed Apple’s monopoly.

But smartphones haven’t meaningfully changed in a while. They’re not going to besides some gimmicks and niche alternatives, and that’s fine.
Smartphone innovation is dead, and that’s fine
Stop blaming a lack of competition for a product that’s simply done meaningfully evolving

UBI saves boatloads of public money. That should motivate certain types of people. But it’s also kind. Which fills those same people with a straight up berserker rage.
Individuals who received the $1,000/mo or $500/mo payments were more likely to find a stable, full-time job than before they received the basic income.

Results showed 45% of participants secured housing, while $589,214 was saved in public service costs.

"It's freedom. It's freedom from poverty..."
Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. A year later, nearly half of participants had housing.
Participants in Denver's basic income program received up to $1,000 a month. They became more housing secure and landed full-time jobs.

The thing that makes Biden’s age so hard to talk about is that there are reasonable concerns about it, but it’s also real hard to look at the trifecta of Douthat, Stephens, and Dowd pushing it in the Times and say that the majority of the concerns are in good faith

They should have included instructions to season your Cybertruck like a cast iron pan.
So the Tesla Cybertruck manual tells buyers exactly what we were trying tell them the minute dipshit got a hard-on for stainless steel.

You're either going to be obsessively wiping the fucking thing down every ten minutes or getting used to a lot of rust and dents.

Christie is an absolute top tier pathetic Trump sycophant. Trump gave him covid that put him in the hospital while Christie was helping him with debate prep in 2020.
