The first of this two shot is exactly one week from now, and I still have two slots open, if you'd be interested in giving an investigative horror TTRPG a shot. CAIN has easily become my favorite game, and I'd love to share it with people.

2. I am focusing more on alternative modelling and fetishwear sewing

This is often why I prefer to play TTRPGs with people who aren't "Gamers" per say. If you look at the most mechanically efficient option while sitting down to play CAIN, I dont want you at my table.
I don't know if this is just my perception but sometimes it feels like it's getting harder over time to communicate subtext through games. Too many nerds are so brain-broken by hypercapitalist "efficiency" grindset shit that they become incapable of questioning the systems they live within
writing an important and tense point of character decision making into the game only to have people dismiss the empathetic option as pointless, thereby completely affirming the entire point of this decision being in the game.

Ngl, it doesn't feel awesome that so much discourse about policies designed specifically to hurt trans people is about the negative effects it might have on some cis people.
Not cos it's not bad that it will have broader incidental effects but because it should be enough that it will hurt us.

There's a fine line between 'this journalist was having an affair with someone she was reporting on and that crosses journalistic ethics' and 'dragging a woman's sex life through the internet over the course of a week', and I think 'her ex posting more salacious details to get clicks' is past it.

This Way Madness Lies is a great game and barely anybody bought it. It should be played by more people. If everybody here on @bsky.app banded together and bought a Steam copy and played it, well, that'd be a miracle and I would be forever grateful.

One of the best things about the internet has always been finding out that you're not crazy or overly sensitive, the vibe really is off and there's a reason for it.
Fun fact: this is explicitly why Dick Wolf created Law & Order: he violently hates defense attorneys and felt tere weren't enough shows about how defendants and their lawyers are scum
