I want to highlight that this is I think one of the most genuinely interesting TTRPGs I've read in years, in ways that are hard to articulate in a bsky post. @liz-shrikestudio.bsky.social has made something very special here, and if you love TTRPG design you owe it to yourself to read this game.
Doing more geology research for Far Field and stumbling into petroleum geology, and discovering that it is so so much bigger as a field than I could ever have guessed.

I came to the realisation about fifteen years ago that if you leave roleplayers alone for long enough they can and will figure out how to have fun with nothing more than an empty cardboard box, but also they might have more fun if the box had an actual toy inside it

Sometimes it's difficult to put down a character in a long term campaign, but I've finally come to terms with the fact that the Egregorian I'm playing is not as good a fit for the party as I'd hoped, especially now the campaign has moved away from Hercynia into deep lore Karrakin stuff.
