It's so disappointing to see Democrats I had previously respected (Booker, Duckworth, etc.) kiss the ring when they didn't have to.
Doing things like this just reinforces the belief that everything that's happening is business as usual. It's not.
16 Dems just voted to confirm Trump's ambassador to China, David Perdue:

Booker (D-NJ)
Coons (D-DE)
Duckworth (D-IL)
Fetterman (D-PA)
Gallego (D-AZ)
Hassan (D-NH)
Kaine (D-VA)
Kim (D-NJ)
King (I-ME)
Klobuchar (D-MN)
Peters (D-MI)
Reed (D-RI)
Rosen (D-NV)
Shaheen (D-NH)
Slotkin (D-MI)
Warner (D-VA)

Being among these patriots yesterday made me feel hopeful.
This is Utah in case anyone’s wondering how pissed off people are. I have never seen anything like this.

Corrupt judges let a criminal get away with treason and run for president. Propagandists masquerading as journalists lied to enough people that the criminal won. Then the criminal sold a half share in the presidency to the world's richest man, whom no one voted for. That's what happened, folks.

This week, as the number of confirmed measles cases rose to 483, the CDC buried a report that would’ve stressed the importance of getting vaccinated.

The move was “not normal at all,” one agency staff member said.
The CDC Buried a Measles Forecast That Stressed the Need for Vaccinations
The move — along with the CDC’s explanation — is a sign that the nation’s top public health agency may be falling in line under HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime critic of vaccines.

Disappearing people to avoid the jurisdiction of the court in which they were taken by the state is authoritarian to the core and runs afoul of the spirit of Article III, the Due Process Clause, and the principles that emerged from the Glorious Revolution and the American Revolution. Arbitrary rule.
NEW: Tufts graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk had already been transferred out of state before a federal judge ordered that she not be removed from Massachusetts, federal officials told the court today www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/27/m...

It's this thought that's been making my head explode.

If you knew they were bad (and you did--we all did), then why the fuck did you confirm them??
It's a really bad look for Dems to start being angry and outraged at the incompetent actions of the incompetent people they confirmed but you know what are you gonna do until there's a constitutional crisis at the Supreme Court

Dear journalists: stop giving this administration the benefit of the doubt. Stop using old editorial standards and practices and norms. Assume that everything they say from the get-go is a lie because it always, always, is.

the speed at which these guys have broken everything has given a lot of folks who should know better the impression that they are an unstoppable force and the only option is to negotiate the terms of surrender

just because the clown car goes very fast does not mean it isn’t full of clowns
Whatever the immediate fallout of the scandal, what is going to stick around is the impression it gives, of hapless idiots doing ridiculous things. And I think that seriously reduces the appeal of capitulating to these jokers.

Some counsel the Democrats to just wait and let the GOP immolate itself. This is horrible advice. Here are some better ideas.
