now I'm reminded of the guy who they named Cincinnati after who was twice appointed to be dictator of Rome during wars and both times ended the crisis in like 2 weeks and immediately resigned his dictatorship to go back to his farm and follow his true passion of growing cabbages

The problem with Democrats in the Biden era wasn’t the content of the domestic policies, it was the total failure to sell them and to understand, manage, and master the media environment, especially social media.
This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.

The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.

This is great. Public transit is public space and public space should be more playful.

From April: The FCC has been converted from a media and telecom watchdog into a bizarre, rights-trampling grievance machine built for one purpose: to coddle and protect the ego of President Donald J. Trump.

Most of Cincinnati's potholes are along Metro routes.
My latest-and-greatest idea is to utilize SORTA Metro buses as a means of daily detection of potholes, and a google-streetview sort of system for DOTE.

Just to be blunt, if you want Wired and 404 and The Verge to employ reporters who understand the memes on bullet casings and can connect them to gaming culture while having the legal and support resources to deal with waves of harassment when we do it… you have to subscribe and pay for the work
the entire media ecosystem is just not built or ready for events like this and far right billionaires like larry ellison buying news orgs will only make this worse
