can't say I love the cocky "they can't suppress the elections" takes going around lately.

it's clear that this administration feels entirely unconstrained by what the law says they can and can't do, and they wouldn't have to do much to tip the scales.

congress should start getting these buffoonish lies on the record. make all of them, down to the last 21-year old comms nazi working the twitter accounts, tell these childish stories over and over under oath. this admin has already clarified that perjury is a crime that must be pursued criminally

I've long thought that Obama's job isn't to "save us" or anything, but he's hands down the most popular living Democratic political figure, and his words count. If he has any.

And he was real damn quick to post "this is despicable, we'll pray for his family" on the same day Kirk was killed
All three living Democratic presidents have said nothing about any of this. I don’t mean just today, I mean any of it. Obama’s last two tweets are about basketball and wishing his wife happy birthday. Nothing on Renee Good who was murdered 17 days ago

Really hard to look at this and all the other examples of bravery and kindness from ordinary people in this moment not think also of the tremendous cowardice exhibited over the past year by some of the richest, most well-protected people in business, media and politics
Let us all have the courage displayed by the residents of Minneapolis.

Photo from the Star Tribune front page. The guy on the right is supposedly a “federal agent.” How would anyone be able to tell that?

Fascism is intolerable. ICE must be abolished.

Our love and support goes out to the people of Minneapolis and to all our friends across the United States of America.

You are brave, and you will win.

One vigil at North St Anthony Park (about 100 people… others along Como Ave) and 150 at Hampden Park in South St Anthony Park.

After everyone else had left the North St Anthony Park vigil, we left some of the candles behind along Como Ave. I was just about to leave when a person walking past stopped to stand beside the remaining candles.

A couple hundred Roseville residents gathered for a vigil in front of City Hall at the corner of Lexington Ave and County Rd C tonight at 7:00 in honor of Alex Pretti who was killed by ICE this morning. Patriotic songs, protest songs, and hymns were sung. Anti-ICE chants were shouted.

Minneapolis/St. Paul put candles in windows to honor Alex Pretti tonight and many are gathering outside.

It's -5°F, feels like -17°F.

Alex was the 2nd murder by federal agent in Minneapolis in only 17 days since Operation Metro Surge was announced.

Renee Good was on day 2.

This is Minneapolis.

Literally every corner along Lake St. packed with people holding candles, many singing, honoring a person who by all accounts was an absolute gem of a human, whose life was tragically stolen by a fascist, paramilitary occupation force.

Just incredible stuff, totally beyond any level of parody

Literally under undemocratic military occupation cold blood killing white residents and the best they could do was 'we need a pause'

an all-timer
A pause in ICE activity in Minnesota is not debatable after the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti Saturday morning in south Minneapolis, writes the Star Tribune Editorial Board.
