The first is the IndyGo Foundation, which provides bus passes to low income riders and charitable organizations, and helps to build more accessible bus stops across the city. A donation of just $4 can help a rider get where they need to go for a day.

If you don’t get to Southern Indiana much, you’d be forgiven for not thinking a city like Evansville would be a good biking city. But, the city is making massive investments in better biking, including this two way cycletrack and road diet that covers the entirety of Walnut Street in the city.

Fort Wayne Citilink has established a nonprofit foundation to support transit in Fort Wayne. Dubbed the ‘Together We Move Coalition’, the agency is now accepting donations through the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. cfgfw.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/c...

This is Melrose Ave right now in between La Brea and Fairfax. Never seen any flooding here like this in my life.

Saw today that this historic commercial building at Washington and Belmont has been demolished by Sandor. Their site lists it as a redevelopment, but no plans have been filed with the city at this time.

Wondering if anyone has any other examples of large scale Public Housing projects that were converted to luxury housing *using the original structures.*

Lockefield Gardens in Indianapolis strikes me as a bit of an oddball.

As a reminder, IndyGo will not be operating on a holiday schedule for the President’s Day Holiday. All services are operating on a regular weekday schedule.

Bloomington Transit’s newest route, Route 13 to Park 48, could end soon without a cash infusion from Monroe County. The agency is seeking $184,000 to keep the route going.

Without funding, service on Route 13 will end on March 8.

So the map on the city’s website for the Polar Bear Pedal now shows it starting on the East side of the river instead of the westside, but the registration page still shows the old map. I assume this is a contingency in case the bridge isn’t open in the next week.

Unearthed a plan for transit in Carmel c. 2010- apparently the last time IndyGo proposed transit service in Hamilton County.

Had the occasion to be on the Westside today and got to check out some of the new infrastructure in the OneHealth District™️. Still a long way to go before this area is fully built out, but it’s nice to see raised crosswalks and separated cycle paths where the Right of Way allows.

The 30th street bridge is only missing traffic lane paint at this point 🤷🏿‍♂️

I hope they open it before Armageddon

Truly one of the worst intersections in the city. A 40 year old monster that we have yet to fix.

Saw today that Carmel is removing this bike lane so they can combine the bike lane and sidewalk, remove all these trees, and squeeze out 17 parking spaces so people can drive to Graeters, which has an off street parking lot.
Safer cycling doesn't require more space. It just requires a better allocation of the space we already have.

Expected to receive funding and approval on Wednesday: a new permanent supportive housing development with 16 units in Indy’s Stringtown Neighborhood, walking distance from the IndyGo Route 3 and future Blue Line.

The project is a partnership between Horizon House and Goodwill.

The Red Line after traffic study for Meridian & College is now here!

The highlights:

⬇️Fatal/Injury crashes down 32%, Total crashes down 38%
💨 85% checks show more drivers are now following speed limits
🚦Traffic didn’t just decrease, it evaporated, w/ no significant increase on parallel corridors

In the most recent DPW release, they reported that 30th would open in one direction over the river in January. It’s now Mid-February, and most days no one is working on the bridge. Anyone know what the hold up is this time?

Portage is the latest Indiana city to show interest in the Chicago Bears, proposing this site dubbed ‘Halas Harbor’. The site would apparently level Tolleston Dunes, part of the Indiana Dunes National Park.

You are telling on yourself so bad if you didn’t know about the increase.

There were fliers, online messaging on social media and the website, loop announcements at the CTC and on buses, public hearings, information in the newspaper and on the evening news, and transit ambassadors on every route.
