Also, given that they sat there doing BDA for 40 minutes, what possible rush were they even under that they needed to conduct another strike.

What's changed is that the Court has become more transparent in its corruption. There's not even an argument here beyond the implicit one which is: how do you expect us to hold the House without those seats?
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

‘Tis the season for Cotton’s semi-annual bloodlust celebration.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), to reporters, after viewing video footage of the U.S. strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean on Sept. 2:

"Righteous strikes." "Entirely lawful."

Any state with the capacity to down Russian UAVs in their airspace should down Russian UAVs in their airspace on sight.
Quite breathtaking story - military grade drones at Dublin airport which flew on the path Zelensky's plane took. The drones reached the flight path of his plane exactly the time it should have been there, but just missed it because Zelensky arrived ahead of schedule:
Four unidentified military-style drones breached no-fly zone to target Zelenskyy's arrival in Dublin
Gardaí are investigating whether the drones took off from land in Dublin or from an undetected ship.

So, according to Adm. Bradley, we’re supposed to believe that two people clinging to life on a foundering vessel were “continuing the drug mission” and *had* to be dispatched by a second strike…

Himes just saw the full video:

Once again, "imagine getting to place a side bet on your kids soccer game" is an indicator of severe levels of degeneracy and in a healthier/more functional society, we would nuke these ppl & their entire business model from orbit
Oh, no it’s even worse than that. I was in a pitch meeting for one of these that said “imagine getting to place a side bet on your kid’s soccer game”. Their plan was to bet on people completing everyday activities
Fuckin people watching Netflix making prop bets on what minute of the episode we’re first gonna see Vecna. People betting on whether it’s gonna be a Toyotathon commercial or an Activia commercial. Just a little QR code in the bottom corner of every show asking you to bet on everything.

4+ years of ridiculous hype around “Defense Tech”,

and none of the VC-backed celebrities field a system worth a solitary damn,

but the USAF somehow has Task Force Temu Shahed forward deployed and ready for war.
US sends 1-way attack drones to the Middle East
The U.S. military has deployed its first squadron of one-way attack drones to the Middle East. They were reverse-engineered from Iran’s Shahed drone.

The commonality of both Signalgate and 'kill em all' is that he's an unqualified drunk who plays with people's lives out of an emotional need to look cool and manly in front of the SOF guys he never joined when he served.
Breaking news: The Pentagon’s top watchdog found that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth violated security protocols meant to protect U.S. troops by using a personal device to share sensitive operational details on the messaging app Signal.

I will give an *extremely* limited defense of this in that a congressional stock trading ban probably should be coupled with a significant bump in congressional pay.
Rep. Roger Williams defends members of Congress trading stocks: "I think we gotta be careful that we don't limit Congresspeople to where they can do nothing ... from a financial standpoint, it's not easy being up in Congress."

Hegseth was an infantry captain who earned a CIB and two Bronze Stars. But he has no senior military experience and, more importantly, no experience running anything remotely comparable to the Pentagon’s massive bureaucracy and budget.
Has he actually seen any combat?

They’re acting like they’re hunting bin Laden in Tora Bora while red-coded normies I know are joking about canceling Caribbean fishing trips because they perceive the administration’s recklessness.
Markwayne Mullin defends Hegseth: "If there was a second strike, it wouldn't be to just simply take out the survivors. It's because there was still a threat or opportunity for them to run."

Escorting Pete to the bus stop:
Reporter: Do you support the second strike?

Trump: I still have not gotten a lot of information because I rely on Pete. I wasn’t involved. I hear the gentleman that was involved in that was extraordinary. I will let Pete speak about it.

Now juxtapose Hegseth's vile little cartoon with this line from the Post report on the latest horror:

"If the video of the blast that killed the two survivors on Sept. 2 were made public, people would be horrified, said one person who watched the live feed."
Imagine being a career officer in the chain of command on Trump's boat bombings. You have deep moral and legal concerns about them. Your faith in leadership is shaky. Then you see Pete Hegseth tweet out a sadistic cartoon about it. Must be awful.

Thoughts on this:
