Not sure when they will admit this but Bovino and his thugs are the real border wall. They have closed the border by demonstrating such cruelty (and advertising it so completely) that nobody wants to immigrate to the US anymore.
Bovino seems like he’s getting closer to admitting their entire premise is a lie, it has nothing to do with the law, and his mission is really about ethnic cleaning and terror.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

I’m going to think about watching this moment unfold in real time for a long time.

for all the horrors coming out of Chicago and its metro area, the principled courage of everyday people, in the face of such intimidation, never ceases to astonish. www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/12/k...

Honestly just absurd charges. Absolute worst case here, they joined dozens of other people in making a car drive slower than it might have done otherwise. Meanwhile, our entire federal government is run like a cartel.
The govt claims the six blocked an ICE-operated vehicle headed to the facility; Abughazaleh's atty Josh Herman said the govt's allegations are "turning protest into a criminal conspiracy."

"This case creates a conspiracy about people standing together spontaneously to protest injustice," he said.

Happening now: a small demonstration is getting underway in front of Chicago Police Department HQ, protesting cooperation between CPD and federal immigration agents.

Alderman Sigcho-Lopez was right to call out Pritzker today about the state police arresting protesters. Pritzker responded that the state police are protecting protesters, and that just isn't true. State cops have arrested and brutalized protesters to facilitate ICE operations. That's reality.

Reminder that pretty much everything Bovino has told the press (and judges and juries) has turned out to be a lie. See what they do, not what Bovino says they’ll do.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Then why are the Illinois State Police protecting those who are violating those rights instead of those whose rights are being violated?

And not only protecting and enabling ICE, but brutalizing protestors themselves.

This is terrible news. Transgender Americans need the ability to travel without being outed by government document. The Supreme Court supports efforts by the Trump administration to make us second class citizens.
BREAKING: The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce its anti-trans and anti-nonbinary passport policy during litigation.

The unsigned, four-paragraph order effectively reverses two lower-court decisions. The Democratic appointees dissent.

Thank god for Dave and the other reporters who are digesting this dizzying array of cases for us. Even grasping the overall landscape of the legal battle can be overwhelming.
Ellis and the attorneys are back in the courtroom, but unfortunately I have to cut my coverage of this hearing here.

I have to prep for yet another Midway Blitz hearing in 15 minutes - that one asking for a court order to address allegely inhumane conditions at the Broadview ICE facility.

Here’s a photo my friend Dominic Guanzon took of me just after I had been tear-gassed at Broadview on September 26. There was a 15 to 20 second period that day where I truly thought that I was going to suffocate and die.

This will not end well for him, I suspect.
Lawyers play a video that was played for Bovino. In it, he tells agents "everybody fucking gets it if they touch you."

"This is OUR fucking city," Bovino tells them.

This was horrific to watch. Agents entering a daycare, wrestling with and abducting a teacher in front of small screaming children. I just… what the fuck are we doing here.
this morning, ICE went into a Spanish language immersion daycare and took a teacher from the building in front of screaming and crying kids and parents at dropoff and the daycare had to shut down for the day (near Lane Tech, where they were yesterday). Really hoping today's "theme" is not "daycare."
