All thoughts on politicians have to be weighed against the possibility of needing to support them unquestionably in 2028, so being a vocally opposed to Newsom's transphobia in 2025 is seen as opposing Candidate Newsome from 2028 🙄

If your wages rise by a dollar over five years but your productivity increases by more than that (you’re generating more surplus value per hour) then your exploitation has intensified. The capitalist is extracting even more value from your labor than before. Their domination over you has gone up.

yeah the thing is like, we built Twitter into something the right wing wanted in the first place lol. the right doesn’t really generate culture, just reacts to it. I think we should starve them of our creative efforts, make something new
I don't think this is like THE end for the platform but it's certainly the beginning of the end for it in terms of relevancy. FB is still around and kicking, many people are still on it, but it is pretty universally regarded as a flop now, it's not somewhere where people generally want to be

Not that anyone asked but roast comedy bores me to tears. Especially when you get into ethnicities and religions; it’s just like a word game of plugging in different phrasing around the same punchlines. For some comedians/audiences that’s the point, I guess— the how rather than the what or the why.
