Absolute garbage.

Call your reps and tell them NO BODY CAMS, NO TRAINING - ICE CANNOT BE "REFORMED." ICE OUT OF OUR CITIES, THEN DEFUND AND ABOLISH ARE THE ONLY OPTIONS.

Find your reps here: reps.fyi

They are giving ICE *MORE* money with these garbage "reforms." More money to HURT US.

Shapiro has publicly spoken about volunteering for the IDF. I don't think he's a double agent, but I don't see how you could be surprised or offended if someone vetting you for the highest levels of clearance asks about the time you worked for a foreign power.
In his new book, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro writes that when Kamala Harris’ team vetted him as a potential VP pick, they asked him whether he had ever worked as an agent of the Israeli government. Shapiro says the implication he was a double agent for Israel was offensive and antisemitic.
Harris’s Staff Questioned Whether Josh Shapiro Was an Israeli Double Agent
The Pennsylvania governor discusses the strange questions he received in his vice-presidential vetting—and settles some scores.

Again the entire discursive project right now is for most intellectuals to try and find a way to make an argument for DEI without actually admitting they were wrong
This David French article shows the analytic peril of ignoring the way normal policing and repression work in communities of color. The so-called "dual state" he's highlighting (laws applied unequally, non-compliance met with violence) is *exactly* what Black Lives Matter was protesting.

This person is trying to be reasonable, I’m not ragging on them, but this is just a good index of how fucked up contemporary American culture is that anyone would think this was a thing that had to be said.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.

It’s quite likely that being called a “fucking bitch” is one of the last things a dying Renee Good ever heard.

I demand leaders who are as filled with pure, diamond-hard rage over this as I am.

I believe this is absolutely not asking for too much.
Not to be too morbid, but today's reporting is that she was actually still alive for several minutes. He said that to her while she was dying.

As sad as the bullshit history is the tactic.

Say the bullshit early and often. Cite other people saying the same bullshit history. Call it a scholarly movement. Get together and call yourselves an institute. Maybe a like-minded young clerk to a Supreme Court justice picks up on it.
Three generations of law professors making history up is enough.

Scholars spend decades researching and writing history with nuance and care.

American law professors will take a couple of months to relearn all of science to explain why the world is, in fact, flat.
