Every WWIII fear was the nervous grappling of a public opposed to the war trying to imagine consequences for themselves.

Instead we have the grim reality that Presidents can bomb as they like abroad with no consequence so long as the country targeted lacks nukes & majority in Congress allow it.
A decade or so of "my god will WWIII break out if we bomb Iran?" and a week later it's completely out of the news.

The AI "well, actually"-ed the KKK. It has since been taken off the piece.
