I feel like a lot of folks have forgotten that a large chunk of politics is the spectacle. And while every mainstream news outlet being a GOP mouthpiece doesn’t help, something that most Dems are very, very bad at is the spectacle.
IMO the argument is that you can make things into big enough deals that it matters. Khanna found Massey and found survivors and made the Epstein Files the gigantic story it should be. Only then did establishment Dems come along. You can, in fact, make things into big hairy deals if you do it right.

This is why I think the whole “GOP collapses after Trump dies” theory doesn’t hold much weight. They are able to control all the information they push out to their 30% of the population. They will just change the story and their followers will follow
