they should have an event where you just run through the snow. not with skis or anything. just: who can get through a four-foot drift fastest. you can have a shovel too.

snowboard cross just feels very "unnecessary scene in 2003 action movie." it's, unfortunately, the only way to defuse the nuclear weapon.

nostalgic for steve mnuchin, the CEO of Exxon, and "some guy he knows from the golf club named like Jeff Tobacco"
It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

NEW: The Trump administration’s legal stay to avoid funding the Gateway Tunnel has expired.

Donald Trump needs to follow the law and get the project back on track immediately.

this man can barely speak
Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

a very nice reminder from Glenn Beck that the nation opened its most famous immigration inspection station in 1892, 116 years after our nation's founding
If you're not persuaded the Trump team is turning the 250th anniversary of US independence into a partisan clown show, note that Freedom 250, the dark money group that's taken over the party planning, is apparently partnering with Glenn Beck and Moms for Liberty. momsforliberty.org/news/moms-fo...

gambling and "predictions markets" stories put me in the mindset of a prohibition reformer. not at that level yet but you can just think about the pervasive societal rot that compelled people to rewrite the constitution *several different ways* to get past it.

"pardoned" does not make it better!
NEGUSE: AG Bondi, that man works for you now, right? The man in that video from J6 yelling 'kill them!' at cops. His name is Jared Wise.

BONDI: He does work for us, yes. I believe he was pardoned

NEGUSE: And you expect hard-working police officers to believe you take law enforcement seriously?

Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."
