I feel like I say this every year but I really need people to hear it. Halloween is the best American holiday. Just kids outside welcomed into their world, marching around together, showing off their costumes to the elderly, parents meeting parents, neighbors catching up with neighbors.

If a business throws food away rather than giving it to their employees or people in need, they should pay a massive fine.
I mean more than the profit from the food if they sold it. We should ruin any business vile enough to throw away surplus and let people go hungry.

Nobody in the most prosperous time in human history should starve, and we should all treat anyone who suggests otherwise as a danger.
If you want or need SNAP benefits, literally the only barrier should be...signing up.

I adore Mensah in #Murderbot . Noma Dumezweni is doing SUCH a fantastic job with her. One thing I particularly love is how she 1. has badass instincts 2. is not trained or prepared to be a badass at all 3. is scared as hell 4. works through panic 5. is a badass anyway.

I won't say it's the best feature of "The Murderbot Diaries", but on a personally relatable level I enjoy the repeated implication that most of SecUnit's success as a hacker stems from the fact that it keeps bumping into critical systems where nobody's bothered to change the default wifi password.
