During Soviet control of east Germany, the regime used a network of citizen informants and spies—Staatssicherheit, or “Stasi” for short. Hundreds of thousands of East Germans willingly participated, informing on their neighbors, coworkers—even family members.

I'm having the students in my American Revolution class watch the Ken Burns doc. Has anyone seen any interesting or notable responses to it from MAGA world? My sense is that so far the response from the right has been to just not engage and hope it all goes away...but I might be missing something.

Where are the learning loss people? It’s hard to learn at school if you’re afraid to go because the secret police might kidnap you.
Charlotte-Mecklebburg Schools, according to reports, saw 15% of its students absent today amid Border Patrol operations in Charlotte. If that percentage of 15% happens Tuesday in Wake County due to the Border Patrol coming to Raleigh, 24.000 students could be absent from school. #nced #ncpol #wcpss

Today, I obtained a file from the FBI via FOIA that states the FBI has no record of receiving such a tip.

Since Braun's use (and admission) is post-2004, I treat that very differently than 90s/early 00s use, though I believe that's a factor to weigh, rather than a binary disqualifying one. it would be enough to knock me off a coin flippy choice if I thought he was closer to Berkman.
