An ambitious swing seat Repub rep could likely find the 8 repub votes for a motion to vacate the speaker, make a deal with dems re: tariffs, be speaker of the house in three days, and take up the senate’s tariff bill. This seems such an obvious winner for someone who will otherwise lose in 26.

It's a great job, you're in charge of a beloved national institution and get to work with and on behalf of a lot of talented journalists. The downside is that sometimes you will have to go to Washington D.C. and try to calm down an extremely flustered cartoon pig.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

Someday it will seem insane that there was a period when people thought the couch story was untrue just because the outlets like the Times, doing everything in their power to normalize his campaign, said it wasn't. Who cares if someone admitted to making it up, why would that matter.

Everyone knows education is the most kitchen table ass talking point ever and specifically saying disabled kids shouldn't have access to it affects so many families
Jessica: When I hear Republicans out there talking about their plan for education in America, I don't hear them talking about making sure disabled kids have access to a public education.

Greg: Because we're against it.

Some of the most non political and moderate people I know are keying cars with Trump stickers, meanwhile Dem leadership is “ruefully” huffing Trump’s farts. When was the last time their judgment didn’t prove to be absolute dogshit? Primary these abject losers.
“You are the representational equivalent of being put on hold by customer service. All you do is let me down. It’s like being a Browns fan if every time the Browns lost, a Tesla ran over my dog. You guys make voting feel pointless.”

32% blame Dems
31% blame Republicans
22% blame Trump

That's a majority blaming Trump and/or the GOP. Hang tough, Dems.
