“I think Rob Reiner felt, to his core, that the light of democracy was the thing that made every other kind of progress possible."
— Ben Wikler, who worked with the legendary filmmaker on a remarkable project that built the Wisconsin Democratic Party’s successful 2020 campaign against Trump
How Rob Reiner Tipped the Balance Against Donald Trump
Trump’s crude disdain for the slain filmmaker was undoubtedly rooted in the fact that Reiner so ably used his talents to help dethrone him in 2020.

Rob Reiner directed my favorite movie in the world, and then made all my dreams come true by, with Cary Elwes, organizing a cast reunion table read Zoom fundraiser for WisDems. A heart, spirit, and talent bigger than the whole world. May his and Michele's memory be a blessing.

“My fundamental concern with regard to how much voting control I have at Tesla is, if I go ahead and build this enormous robot army, can I just be ousted at some point in the future?... I don't feel comfortable building that robot army unless I have a strong influence.” – Musk, arguing for $1T

This chart—using data from Catalist, in this article by @scottanderson.bsky.social—is a Rosetta Stone for how the presidential map changes over the next decade. We've got to turn WI MI PA blue before 2032—because at that point, they won't be enough to get to 270.

Haters say Trump loved nothing other than himself. That's not fair. He clearly also loves extrajudicial killing

Wisconsin’s 2026 Governor’s Race is wildly important. I won’t be running. But I’ll do my utmost to make sure a great Democrat wins, and I hope you will, too. 🧵

Yesterday, we learned that Elon Musk spent $55 million to defeat her.

Today, we cheered as Judge Susan Crawford took her oath—and became Justice Susan Crawford.

Congratulations!

Governor Evers just announced that he won’t be seeking a third term in 2026. Wisconsin owes him a profound debt of gratitude—one of the kindest, most decent, and most public-spirited people I've ever met, in or out of politics. 🧵

Bondi reportedly put 1,000 people in 24-hour shifts for two weeks in March to review the Epstein files. She made them flag mentions of Trump.

And then ...

She decided she couldn't release anything. 😯
Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and Dan Bongino have made a mess of the Epstein files.

It’s time to clear it up once and for all for the American people.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
