The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I hope you understand that if you show up at a hospital with an infection no one has ever seen before that the US had somewhere you could call. That place would answer, offer testing you can’t get anywhere else and come visit you to solve if necessary.

Because I am angry I will share this again. One of the reasons that Israel is able to target individuals so precisely is that it collects every phone call in Gaza and stores the recordings in Microsoft Azure, then uses AI to analyze and pick targets.

Revealed: The Israeli military undertook an ambitious project to store a giant trove of Palestinians’ phone calls on Microsoft’s servers in Europe

Fun fact but a lot of state rape laws have “voluntary intoxication” loopholes, where a victim being too intoxicated to consent isn’t legally cognizable as rape if she ingested alcohol or drugs voluntarily. In effect, intoxication only nullifies consent in these states if the victim is roofied.
Some BG on Rao, who once blamed women for date rape:

“A good way to avoid a potential date rape is to stay reasonably sober," she wrote, and if a woman drinks to the point where she can't choose if she wants sex, “getting to that point was part of her choice.” www.huffpost.com/entry/neomi-...

Here's how it works:

1) Habba resigns as interim US attorney, ahead of a Friday deadline
2) Trump withdraws Habba's nomination to take the job permanently
3) AG Bondi appoints Habba First Assistant US attorney
4) Habba automatically becomes acting US attoreny bc of the vacancy.

One troubling aspect I've seen in the discourse of even well-meaning people around Trump and Epstein is an assumption that there's a bright line between pedophiles and rapists who attack adult women.

There is not. Most rapists prefer young victims, even if they prefer adult sex partners.

Shock announcement: NC Senator Thom Tillis just announced he is retiring, less than 24 hours after he opposed starting debate on his party’s mega bill.

His seat is up in 2026, and having it be an open seat sure changes the calculus and Democratic chances of flipping it.
