Media folks still amplifying the misinformation here, by calling gross cancelled spending “savings”.

It’s not *savings* unless a credible source has done an analysis that shows the *same quality and quantity* of services are still being delivered at lower (social) costs. And that hasn’t been done.
NEW @npr.org: When DOGE updated its savings tracker this week with new “receipts,” it quietly deleted errors worth billions, added new errors and still has little verified savings from cancelling contracts — about $2.3 billion (up from ~$2 billion)

More digging:
DOGE's savings page fixed old mistakes — and added new ones
An NPR review of new data added to DOGE's "wall of receipts" finds the group quietly changed previous errors, added new ones and still has little verified savings to show for its work.

18F is *precisely* what Musk and team claim should exist within government. But when his team found it, they destroyed it, because it is evidence that government works well (can’t have that!), and because like Zelensky, 18F didn’t bend the knee.

This is now the most embarrassing thing JD has done on a couch
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about?

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

“The important thing is there’s going to be no cessation unless a court orders it and we now have a matter pending in front of the Southern District [of New York],” said Lieber. “We’re very very optimistic about where this next one is headed.”

"What would Putin do?"
"I am going to threaten to conquer our NATO allies, align with Russia in the UN, & destroy our most important intelligence-sharing alliance"

Imagine Barack Obama or even George H.W. Bush had said this. The Senate impeachment conviction would already have happened.

NY Governor Hochul's phone lines are finally open after days of being unreachable. Only had to wait 10 minutes to tell her to:
1. Continue defending NYC's congestion pricing from Trump's attack
2. Remove Eric Adams from office since he's in Trump's pocket
Call her at 518-474-8390

In many ways it's fitting that the showdown between monarchy and democracy ends up being over NYC congestion pricing.

Cities are where the power of kings were first challenged, and few things are more fundamental to government than control of public space.

When the dismantlists talk about "trimming the fat" or "bloated" whatever relating to the federal government, remind them that there have been about the same number of federal employees since the 1960s.
Meanwhile US population has increased by ~70% and GDP has increased 29-fold.

I feel like I'm going insane every time I see a media story about DOGE that doesn't also mention the fact that the Government Accountability Office exists and performs the exact function that DOGE pretends to, only in a credibly constitutional, non-partisan, and conflict-of-interest-free manner

Yesterday many thousands of federal employees were terminated. This is a Reddit thread for federal employees that got laid off.

Eric Adams has sold out new yorkers to Trump's administration, in exchange for the DOJ dropping the corruption charges against him. Governor Hochul has the power to remove him from office, but she's stalling. Call her and demand that she remove him, esp if you live in New York: 518-474-8390.

Seems bad!
This is a 50 alarm fire. Like the maximum alarm fire times ten. Probably no government employees should be using government systems to say anything to each other outside of extremely dry official business. Signal for everything else.
NEW: Elon Musk's friends have infiltrated the GSA and they're looking for ways to use White House credentials to access agency tech, potentially allowing them to remote into laptops, read emails, and more, sources say.
