I'd argue they should be a bit more expensive than they are now, as egg production has a lot of externalities: waste water, animal cruelty and pathogen breeding grounds. Fixing these would make them cost a bit more.

I think reduction in frustration is likely. I also think that part of it is statistics: every driver brings some percent risk of getting into a crash on a given day. Reducing the number of drivers reduces the frequency of crashes happening. And probably reduces the risk percent itself.
