The NYT definitely made a choice not to add “without evidence” to this headline.

I like this headline, because the wording kind of implies that now that the wildcat has been identified, they can start looking for its murderer.

It’s not actually that far from other things Tate has said so it didn’t feel notable enough to debunk yesterday. But now that we’re moving to day two of this circulating, this tweet is fake.

I have two confessions to make: I never really "got" Young Frankenstein; and I think "The Holy Grail" is actually pretty hit and miss. Great when it's great, but not overall amazing.
The movie listed at #1 is so incredibly misplaced that it calls into question the veracity of the entire list. It belongs on the list, yes, but SO MUCH further down. An absolute, credibility-wrecking flub. Boo, @variety.com! Boo!

To me, nothing captures the arbitrary capriciousness of life like dogs. Hedy was found stray and injured in a bog by hikers when she was a year old. Now, almost 5, she lives a life of comfort, and her favourite thing is going to coffee shops. Why should this happen to some dogs, but others?

This is the problem with a lot of politics-brained people, they don't believe in anything, except winning and losing. So policy is chosen not on right or wrong, but what they think will appeal to the imaginary "normal" voter.
There's something kind of sick about this headline. Like they honestly can't see the value of morality in itself, they can only think about things in terms of winning the game.
Imagine looking around America in 2025 and thinking, "What we need less of is morality."

Private vehicle ownership should be rare, and expensive. Transit, walkablity, and cycles should be the norm. (Provision for rural areas and disabilities should, of course, be considered)
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

"Utopia for Realists" (have read) and "Frog and Toad Together" (have it memorized, thanks to my 2 year old).
alright let’s get something more pleasant going. what two books would you leave out on your coffee table so a reporter can mention you have them. doesn’t matter if you’ve read them. for me it’s Pale Fire (which I did read) and Ulysses (got like 15% of the way in)

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

"Self driving cars will be great once they are networked. Cars can form convoys on the freeway and-" Every "networked traffic" idea eventually seems to involve reinventing the train. Once you have cars linking together in convoys, you are at train.

When I was looking to buy, back in 2021, the agents kept forgetting we weren't landlords. They'd show you the tiniest bedroom, and remark "of course, you could get a double bed in here" (you could not). The whole pitch was around rent.
79% of homes sold in Dublin this year were bought by landlords, 75% by large landlords. About 1 in 5 TDs are landlords.

This is disgusting dog whistling. The problem has never been people seeking asylum. The problem is people seeking to endlessly profit from folks just looking for a home.
🗣️ "The one thing that there is a problem with is housing right across the state, and the more that come to seek asylum, the more pressure it puts on that system.” - Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley
