Thought Joyce Carol Oates had died when I saw her trending but instead she took out Musk.

Joyce Carol Oates is antifa.
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Elon Musk’s new pay package would feed all forty million Americans on SNAP for the next ten years. He wouldn’t notice the difference but the country would.

In 1981, 1 in 18 million Americans were billionaires and 1 in 10 needed SNAP benefits; today, 1 in 300 thousand Americans are billionaires and 1 in 8 need SNAP.

Proof that trickle-down economics was just a trick.

2025 has been like that portion of It's a Wonderful Life after George wishes he had never been born and all of a sudden the world is worse for it and everyone is living in Pottersville.

That's what 2025 has been: Pottersville.

There's a video of ICE attacking a man in a car, causing him to have a seizure while he's holding his toddler. If I saw that in a movie, I'd walk out because it's torture porn. And yet that's life in American cities

Thinking about the Democratic Party’s messaging tug-of-war between “kitchen table issues” and human rights issues, as if they’re not inextricably linked.

Affordability IS an issue of human dignity. My right to make a living wage is right there next to my right over to my own reproductive choices.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

IMHO this should be done at the federal level but bravo to Colorado for joining California and several others in funding free public school kid meals, it's transformative.

Dick Cheney did more than anyone else to build up expansive and destructive executive branch powers in the wake of 9/11; he lived to see another president turn those same powers against his own daughter.

He should be a warning sign to the GOP today but too many of them are in the cult.

We live in the dumbest most dangerous timeline.
The president of the United States thinks asylum-seekers come from mental asylums.

He says it in almost every interview where the topic of migration comes up.

How is this not 25th Amendment territory? How is he not an embarrassment to this entire country?
