Reagan did a mass firing in the 80s to break a strike by ATCs, which is also why the pipeline is so empty for new ATCs. It's a very specific job requiring very specific skills...and who is going to want to work for the gov't if your job is always in the crosshairs...

Like truly this is quantifiable benefit! For bike valet - in property not stolen, police hours not used, business revenue due to increased foot traffic. Same for youth bus passes. Really frustrating to see these issues persist in a 'progressive' city. Paying $$$$ for policing is a tax on our future.
