Today, we recognize the 84th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. We owe a great debt to the men and women who bravely served during WWII to win the war. We will always honor their memory and sacrifice, including by working to protect the world they fought to create.

The Kremlin has welcomed changes in the U.S. National Security Strategy, saying the adjustments that marked a radical departure from Washington's previous policy were "largely consistent" with Moscow's vision.

The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

And note that Alito complained about the district court inserting itself into an “active primary campaign.”

Supposing the justices proceed to gut the rest of the Voting Rights Act, let’s see if they show the same alarm about states proceeding to wipe out Dem-held districts even closer to November.
The Supreme Court just handed Texas Republicans at least 2 more House seats & possibly up to 5 despite the state GOP explicitly justifying their remap based on an unconstitutional use of race in redistricting.

Unsurprising from this court, and it's a bad sign for the upcoming Voting Rights Act case
BREAKING: Supreme Court sides with Texas Republicans in fight over congressional map. The new gerrymandered map will be used in the 2026 midterms. The vote is 6–3, with the Republican appointees siding with Texas.

Trump deported her there.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
