"Husband wins Ohio lottery scratch-off, plans to cover wife's cancer treatment"

The United States is one of the wealthiest countries in the world and should provide universal healthcare.

No one should have to win the lottery to afford cancer treatment.

Some people are asking what I want Schumer to do. He should be screaming over medical care and access to facilities. He should be going to detention facilities himself and putting his body on the line, as he did at the border in 2019. He should lean into stories about New Yorkers in detention. [1/4]

This year's American Public Health Association annual conference is once again on Election Day.

It's so important that everyone, including people who support public health, VOTE. Including in midterms!

Hope @apha.org will remind everyone to vote absentee ahead of time & change date next time!

Sadly, the push for anti-mask laws is back. The Alabama House has passed a bill that would criminalize protesting in a mask without a doctor’s note.

New reporting highlights emerging science on COVID’s long-term harm: higher risks for heart disease, cancer relapse, cognitive decline, and huge economic costs, even after mild infection. Yet federal policy is cutting vaccine access and research just as we need more.

Fertility care is part of health care.

It needs to be included in health policies, services, and financing.

The new WHO #infertility guideline helps countries make prevention and treatment available through everyday health services, so more people can plan their futures safely. 🔗bit.ly/4ol6cka
