Weekday viewing of Kung Fu Panda 2.

Literally no-one else there. Having an entire imax 3D cinema to yourself is a wonderful experience.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

There's a special kind of joy when a conversation with friends inspires you to make a shitpost that just feels, correct. As though it is the morally right thing for this to be brought into existence, even without the conversation that led to it.

Why do people use AI when there are, stock photos for situations as obscure as "man disgruntled by fork"

I'm just being amazed at how many different emotions this man can apparently have over a fork.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

God, a thousand times this.

That's the thing with dopamine being tied to task initiation - there's a set of gears that won't - CAN'T - engage in my brain, but none of my problems are with analysis.

I can be fully aware of all the necessary steps, and stressing about starting, and just... not.

Little disappointed by Flow. Felt like there was no real direction to it, and it couldn't seem to avoid anthropomorphising them at random points.

There's no better advertiser for Linux than Microsoft.
Microsoft shoved their AI Copilot into everything in Windows 11. Which lead to an increase in Windows 10 use. So they announced they'd stop support for Windows 10, but its usage was still strong. So they started to put Copilot into Windows 10.

Windows 7 use is surging 5x now.

AI is product poison.

If I could get non-autistic people to understand one thing, it wouldn't be that I have support needs. It would be that YOU have support needs.

AUTISM ANNOUNCEMENT: "When I asked why you did something, it was because I wanted to know why and I thought if I asked, you would answer, and then I would know, which is what I wanted. I was not expressing a criticism or a demand. I was asking a question. The question I asked."

AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
