Speaking of health, the proposed Pae Ora legislation changes actively undermine the actions for Health in the NZ Disability Strategy - which were apparently approved by the Minister of Health??

Does Simeon even know what he's doing? Too much AI, not enough facts?

Pae Ora Bill's proposed changes undermine the NZ Disability Strategy
Efficiency shouldn’t come at the cost of outcomes. The Pae Ora Amendment Bill threatens accessibility, Māori partnerships, and the health of disabled New Zealanders. Here’s how.

Melissa Ansell-Bridges has published a useful piece examining the pay equity changes in detail and explaining how they are not small policy changes but rather a structural demolition of pay equity law that will lock in pay discrimination for years to come. www.thepost.co.nz/nz-news/3606...
What the Equal Pay Act changes really mean for women
OPINION: This is not a policy adjustment—it is a structural demolition of pay equity law, and it will lock in pay discrimination for years to come.

Providing care is expected of anyone deemed female.
Care work is clinically, technically, psychologically and energetically draining by most people who provide it.

Care work is chronicly understaffed, underpaid, for caregivers/RNs/Drs/whanau.
Care, will in time, become the new currency and value.
