Not really on here much, FYI.
Don't watch the Saints lose all by yourself this Sunday. Come out to the Broadside and enjoy some great Cajun music and good company with the game on in the background! I'll be on the drums - would love to see you there!

Last week at #ire25 I told fellow reporters to write off of documents — and to implore editors to greenlight these stories, even without family narrative, because it opens the door.

We published this story this morning and have already been contacted by a family who experienced the same thing.

This is really cool from @sophiasgaler.bsky.social - a new app that helps you quickly translate longform work into snappy video content.

I just tried it out and it was simple and intuitive to use.

Who/Whom

If you can answer the question with "him" then you use ‘whom.’ --> they both end in ‘m’.

If you can answer the question with “he,” use ‘who.’

-Whom are you going to the concert with?
-I'm going with him.

-Who broke the toaster?
-He did.

In the past, either the Agency or DOJ would hold officers like this accountable.

But not now. What we are seeing is agents who believe they are above the law and apparently are allowed to do this without identifying themselves.

What does a society do when it does not hold bad actors accountable?

My serious expression belies the joy I experienced playing live music again last night after a break of several months. A lovely wedding reception in Ruston, Louisiana, with a buffet featuring the best loaded mashed potatoes you ever tasted.

What have you done lately that brought you joy?

Maybe if we could all unfollow and not retweet all the progressive "influencers," the semi-famous folks whose job seems to be posting about politics 127 times a day. I'm trying.
to me the biggest problem with bluesky is that politics dominates this place. that makes sense, i assume most of us left twitter for political reasons. but there's not enough chat about other things on here. there used to be, but not anymore. you get a little of the old twitter on big sports nights
