I first saw Karl Urban in the movie Ghost Ship at a filthy $1 theater.

Playing soccer in gym class in jr high. Now, I should point out that I am Bad At Sports. Never had much interest in watching them, neural deficits caused me to be uncoordinated as hell, asthmatic…nature did not design me to be an athlete.

mine is: down 2 with like 4 seconds left, deflection sends ball into corner

You know what’s good for the soul after an awful workweek? Doing a double feature of two great movies. Watched Princess Mononoke in the new 4K print (not my first watch, but still wonderful), and then Sinners (which was excellent).

If you’re not watching The Pitt, you’re doing yourself a disservice. This week’s episode is probably the best of anything I’ve seen since Andor.

1. Men can only communicate through violence and it ruins their lives.
2. We are so small in the face of all-consuming evil/annihilation, but if we think right, we can still escape it.
3. The protagonist looks like a monster, but is a man. The villain looks like a man, but is a monster.
