Reader, lover of fine art, not a bon vivant, goofball.
Man, it feels like that’s just all of Chicago. Went to do groceries this morning, and I was done so fast. Felt weird!

There’s a line almost exactly like this in Zone of Interest. Gah.

Only the strong have gotten all the way through the Baroque Cycle.

I’d recommend reading up on Jimmy Stewart and what he was going through just prior to and during the filming of the movie. Adds to the weight of an already incredible movie.

She appears to be VERY similar to Witchfire, though, from The Power Company.

How nobody didn’t just punch her in the side to get her to let go of that poor woman’s hair, I have no clue.

Ah-ha! Totally missed that. Now I need to reread it with that in mind.

Also, if I may, what was the reasoning behind it? I’m definitely curious to know!

Hallelujah! I will definitely be back for that.

As much as I liked Lake Yellowwood Slaughter, I can’t forgive grawlixed swears next to tons of gore.

Wait, people DON’T read it that way? It was obvious the first time I read it, and I was like 16.

The second Andrew Garfield Spider-Man is awful, but I will always love the part where Emma Stone yells “Peter!” and then she realizes she goofed. For whatever reason, that lone bit really hits for me.

I do think he has a lot of fun hamming it up, esp in Revenge. Him and that opening battle are the only reasons I can really stand Revenge (as opposed to the first two, which have nothing for me).

Tried learning Scottish Gaelic using it. It’s great at helping to teach vocabulary by using repetition, but teaching grammar is pretty much non-existent.

That probably accounts for like 15% of my quitting church, can’t lie.

If it’s like being a prof there, they’ve gotten REALLY hard-line about it, too.

Solo seems right where it should be to me. I can never get over “So you’re alone…sounds like you’re Solo”. Or however the hell that line went.

Donald Glover as young Lando is all that I can enjoy in that movie.

I really hope they bring in Blood Syndicate; it’s always been my favorite of the various Milestone books (though I do absolutely love Hardware and all the rest, too). It would be so tough to do, though, at least as it was; so much of what made it forward-thinking is now de rigeur.

That is SUCH a good set, and all based on a variant cover! Now I just want a straight-up heist story with these guys in these outfits.

I’ve been trying to figure out a sequel to the infamous/absolutely wonderful Conspiracy ep of TNG, and I want to make it nothing like an Alien movie or like the sequel story in the Defiant comic series, and folks, it’s HARD.

But the TTRPG’s helped give me some tools to do it!

Wait, people still wonder about Shaun King the fraudster and con artist?

Also, if there’s a dog, they must throw the ball for it at roughly midnight.

And if they have friends over, those friends must leave, as loudly as possible, right when I’m trying to sleep.

(Noooo, I don’t take any of this personally, why would I?)

Every time I get done with something he’s directed (excepting Ex Machina), I feel like I just want to shake him and have him go talk to somebody in the real world.
November 15, 2025 at 4:48 AM
Is that just with Batman, or other books in the line, too?
