We are NOT gonna try to make “Minneapolis Strong” happen.

Give people money instead, you useless toad. Strong Minneapolis has been doing all the things you say here for months, with no help from you. You did jack shit except send your cops to help ICE.
Big numbers. Big impact. The numbers speak for themselves when it comes to the effects of Operation Metro Surge. What can you do? Support businesses. Donate. Volunteer for a grocery run. As Assistant Chief Gaiters said today, we're Minneapolis Strong.

we need to bring back shame. this is legitimately the most pathetic thing i've ever read in my life.
If you care about Valentine’s Day, not having someone to spend it with can be tough.

While dating apps have yielded diminishing returns for singles for years, more people are finding companionship with AI partners.

This week's Babylon 5 review, "Mind War," is live for my patrons! Fun episode, and Walter Koenig makes a pretty terrific bad guy:

I've only put an hour or two into this, and I'm not really a tactics guy (I mostly play video games _not_ to think), but this is a terrific review of a very good game:

I met my best friend in junior high, and he’s still my best friend today—just emailed him this morning. (I visit him and his wife and daughter for the weekend every few months.)
watching John Green talk about his buddy from high school who is still his friend and I’m curious, is that common for people on here?

i struggle to get appropriately worked up about twit-weasels like Nick "Punch me! Punch me! Punch me!" Fuentes; not because he isn't a vile tumor, but because he's so obviously whiny, stupid, and irritating that i keep forgetting anyone listens to him.

i always like this question, because I still get to say: me.
Who's the most famous alum of your high school?

I'll go first: David Draiman of Disturbed

Gremlins 2. Me and my best friend were the only people in the theater, too. We had a blast.
Have asked this before and always like the responses. What are your biggest “I saw that in the first run cinema” flexes? Couple of mine:

Transformers: The Movie (1986)
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993)
Office Space (1999)

surprisingly sad about James Van Der Beek. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen him in anything, but he seemed like a decent, well-meaning guy with a sense of humor about himself. (Also, 48 is -way- too close to home.)

i have, let's say, some real mixed feelings about this (none of which have to do with Straub being dead):
Exclusive: The First Excerpt from Stephen King and Peter Straub’s Ending to ‘The Talisman’ Trilogy
King tells us about ‘Other Worlds Than These,’ where he’ll finish the saga after Straub’s death—and how his late friend’s ideas were resurrected for this epic goodbye.

Rather than try and find a single quote, clip, thought...

I'm just gonna post the whole episode because it's that damn special. (1/15)

"I love you and I like you" isn't a deeply romantic statement, it's just the bare minimum for _any_ close relationship. you don't have to celebrate the standard!
