I mean, there's anti-racism and "anti-racism" though. Let's not pretend that we don't know this
I’m hearing from a charity that’s reluctant to support an anti-racism event because it’s too “political”. I’m explaining to them that opposing racism wasn’t at all “political” until very recently.
Also (1) everything is political but (2) it doesn’t need to be party political.
Charity IS Politics.

From @ericidle.bsky.social & Neil Innes' brilliant & criminally overlooked/unavailable RUTLAND WEEKEND TELEVISION, here's a truncated glimpse of George Harrison's Christmas 1975 guest appearance runner, where he didn't want to perform a song - He really just wanted to play a pirate...

I've been stabbed to death in the last week twice
As someone who is in central London several days a week, can I just say having my ass stabbed has not been a problem or indeed a concern.

I see Jo Maugham is trying to start a witch hunt against Muriel Gray. After all why on earth is a former TV presenter, host of the media show, documentary maker, arts programme presenter and maker, radio presenter, founder of a TV production company, and TV producer doing on the board of the BBC?

Interestingly though there are a couple of "antiwoke" moments in One Battle After Another - around pronouns and land acknowledgements - that got decent laughs in the cinema where I watched it. And the film "After the Hunt" also released this year fits into an "unwokening" movement, if it exists

A lot of the replies to this have shown me that people struggle between "woke" and "Khmer Rouge"

Rupert Lowe has invited Wayne O'Rourke to parliament

O'Rourke pleaded guilty to stirring up race hatred, after calling for people to go on the streets, burn cars, to attack mosques + the "traitors" defending Muslims

Judge "You were not caught up in what others were doing, you were instigating it"

Amazing scenes
The reason for sports to be sex segregated is purely and entirely because of women winning them btw. Biathalon for instance used to not be, then a woman won a race and within 2 weeks there was a sex separation. It is fragile men who made it this way.

Since we’re in the mood for strict accuracy in broadcast news, worth noting that a rival channel had a pundit - unchallenged - say asylum seekers in hotels committed 44% of sexual offences in one county, seemingly because she cannot understand basic maths.
A national newspaper journalist went on a British TV channel to claim police stats showed asylum-seekers committed 44% of sex crimes in Dorset.

This shocking claim was treated as fact by the channel which promoted the clip on social media where it was amplified by AI.

Except... it's bollocks.
