Watching The Dick Van Dyke Show and it was driving me crazy trying to work out where I'd seen this bloke before.
It's the doc from the Love Boat?!

Ever get that tingly feeling of having made a sudden change of plan because your future self travelled back to warn you, then disappeared from memory because the person who could warn you didn't exist once you changed course? Like deciding not to take the icy shortcut - a kind of spooky "well done"

Alan Alda in Broad City as Abbi's kindly chiropractor who gently talks her through booking a spot at the DMV, so avoiding the queue, remains one of the loveliest guest appearances in anything. I'll watch it today in celebration

I just made myself cry on command - tears and everything, from feeling fine. Never managed to do that before. How do you apply to RADA? Bring me my acting cape, I'm ready!

A lovely visit to Charles Topper - shampoo, friction massage, the lot. Ramsay & I came out looking very smart. Not a curl left. To Carnaby Street, and Ramsay came out wearing a cape, lined with red "silk". They play "pop music" in these shops, and all packed with people.

SNOWFALL (Anagrammed Lines)

Winter wails lavish frost:
Snowfall arrives, with its
faint silver. Slow wraiths
flow in salt rivers. What is
final swirls over its thaw.

Compulsory interval if the film is 2+ hours. What's the downside? We all buy extra drinks and snacks, plus I don't have to forever associate the last hour of most films with bladder panic

Everyday photos of all of Paris from 1970. From the link below, click on any section of the city map. You'll then be given a choice of photos of that area taken in spring 1970 for a competition that aimed to create a comprehensive coverage of the entire city. A bit like Street View 1970!
Je viens de tomber sur un truc fascinant. En 1970, la FNAC et Paris ont organisé un concours photo basé sur un découpage géométrique de Paris. Ce site permet de visionner 30 000 des photos produites à cette occasion

The film opens on a medieval monk writing an ancient book. "This is an age of heroes" Suddenly the monk adds one simple downward pen stroke and turns "heroes" into "herpes". The monk winks at the camera. No idea how the rest of the film goes

Said he to me "I kneel with these"
Said I to him "please use this hassock"
But he would not, the silly wazzock

For YEARS I put off signing up for twitter, but would google Peter Serafinowicz's account about once a week to see if he'd done one of his funny Q&A things where he made up jokes. That was my ideal level of online, in retrospect
