I needed something shallow and easy and watched Book Club on iplayer. And even in that forgiving mood I couldn’t believe people were given resources to make such a boring, predictable and unsexy film with absolutely no surprises. And this is the energy I shall be taking into the new year

my cab driver last night is a former tfl bus driver. he said they have a button they press when someone dodges the fare and when there’s a lot of buttons pressed on a certain bus or in an area, that’s where the ticket inspectors go.

Good morning and happy New Year's Eve to everyone. Time zones are so weird. Australia is already in 2026. Europe is still in 2025. And the United States is in 1933.

I cracked the code. Told my boomer dad that having motion smoothing on his TV 'makes it work twice as hard' and will 'wear it out faster' and now hes obsessed with making sure its off.
