Anyone ever actually done the old...

A: "Shh, listen to that!"
B: "[...] I don't hear anything"
A: "Exactly - silence, isn't it wonderful"

...bit?
I wonder how many times A could get away with it in the first hour of a holiday before being locked in the toilet

Just saw a bloke with a moustache happily jiggling a baby he was carrying on his chest in a big black and white stripy sling. In the half light I was certain he was a Frenchman and I'd gone accordion-deaf

I once left my Now TV subscription logged in at an Airbnb and after I left the guy watched it, but also somehow paid for it through his Apple thing for over a year. Nothing was ever said, then it just stopped. Best relationship I've ever had

Today is #RLSDay which marks the birthday of the Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson who would have been 175 today.
It's also a good day to remember that it is NOT actually his birthday because in 1891 he gave it away to a young girl because she didn't like her birthday. 🧵

Watching the Please Sir! film and these so called "children" are older than me!
(the film was released 12 years before I was born so it stands to reason)

Saline nasal sprays offer so much potential as a public health intervention to reduce viral illnesses. Easy to use, relatively cheap and widely available.
Congratulations to Professor Paul Little, winning Royal College of General Practitioners Research Paper of the Year 🌟

He and his team’s research found that simple nasal sprays, can shorten illness, ease symptoms and even reduce the need for antibiotics.

That show 'Help! We Bought a Village' on C4 actually features multiple abandoned villages each ep. If you watch a few it really feels like the zombie apocalypse has already happened

If he hadn't escaped that great fall, there's actually a chance the king's men and horses might have got involved in his case
Mr. Moore and I to St. Gregory’s, where I escaped a great fall down the staires of the gallery: so into a pew there and heard Dr. Ball make a very good sermon, though short of what I expected, as for the most part it do fall out.

Do you ever look at the moon and think, Oh that's the same moon Wiliam Shakespeare looked at, and Frida Kahlo, and Jesus, and Grace Kelly, and I still haven't done the washing up, where did the last hour go?

I just looked it up and Pepys never found this money. If it existed, there's a chance it's still there - somewhere in the Tower of London
And now privately the woman, Barkestead’s great confident, is brought, who do positively say that this is the place which he did say the money was hid in, and where he and she did put up the 50,000l. in butter firkins.
