I'm afraid we've already passed the limit of my knowledge and ability to understand any of the context. I'm in over my head and can only apologise

Honestly it took me far too long to work out that wasn't what the headline meant. All sport writing is borderline impenetrable to me though

I recommend watching this with Irene - her multilingual skills were invaluable for translating the german bits, and she 100% agreed that my Katharine Hepburn impressions were "eerily accurate" and not at all irritating while the film was in progress

If ever on a cruise with a partner I'm doing the:
"...Yes, ...you are" move whenever they look at a view and say it's beautiful, eat a prawn and say it's delicious, go kite surfing and saying it's terrifying etc, until they demand early debarkation

Agreed, although it would be nice to live in a world where your boss pays for everyone at work to go on holiday together for some reason

Sounds like David Barry was right! Thank you, I'm adding this to the Tarbuck diamond theft in my list of unexpected celeb arrests.

One of the posts on here that made me laugh the most was about all the killings in the plot of that film - but now I can neither find it, nor remember it, so you'll have to go purely on trust

Apparently that's just a popular myth, but I contest that as it's not the sort of thing people painted pictures of, or Jane Austen wrote about, there's nothing to say it might not be a true myth

Example of a child flicking the Vs in the opening credits. I like to look for examples of this to try and prove how far back it goes. This is no help really as the film's from 1971; 70 years after the earliest recorded example
