Here in Seattle, furloughed NOAA employees were out in the pouring rain cleaning up beaches yesterday, part of a national week of service organized by federal workers who can't do their jobs due to the shutdown.

My yard guy asked if he could come mow today. I told him that we aren’t getting paid cause of the shutdown & he said he’d come do the yard & to pay him when we’re able. 🥹

If y’all need lawn/tree care & live in NoVa, give Marvin a call! Can’t recommend them highly enough!

I still believe — despite no evidence — that the Astros had decoded the Nats signs. And that after getting rocked, the Nats switched up without HOU realizing. Bats were garbage in G6/7.

The Altuve K in G6 was the swing of someone who knew but didn’t know what was coming.
worth a mention Stephen Strasburg had to change his entire approach in Game 6 of the 2019 World Series because he was "tipping his own pitches" (as it was thought at the time) in the 1st inning, changed how he held the glove and the Astros never hit him again
