This is not good. We all do realize that it is unlikely that Netflix is doing this to permanently expand their pre 1980 offerings, right? A whole lot of film history is about to disappear.

I resent Nigel Farage using It Ain’t Half Hot Mum to justify his racism. Yes, OF COURSE, Michael Bates appearing as an Indian would absolutely not be ok today - however he was born in Jhansi, fluent in Urdu and loved India. That is not the same as making jokes about gas chambers & being a massive cu

The artist used a flake of limestone as a sketchpad to draw this comic scene some 3,200 years ago.

As someone who went to an unpleasant English public school, it's notable how remarkably racist you would have to be for people to remember it specifically against the general backdrop of racism
Twenty people allege he has a racist past. He denies it. Who’s telling the truth about Farage’s schooldays?

Fuming institutions I believe in are being bloody cowards. Guild guides and WI not standing up for Trans Rights. Blood hell, guide guide stood up to hitler many were in the resistance.
WI stood up for sex workers rights, these organisations should be on the side of acceptance not hate and oppression

Starmer: “Brexit vote was a fair, democratic expression, and I .. respect that .. But how it was sold and delivered was simply wrong. Wild promises were made”

If the result was obtained by misselling, then it was not an informed decision and hence not democratic.

Well this has made up for a shite weekend.

It would be remiss of me not to thank the @ladiesofdarkness.bsky.social and No Half Measures Collective. It's their beer, their idea, their cleaning up after me.

All I did was provide the space (and a Lil recipe tweaking). But, it's their beer. #chapeau
So. The lovely drinkers of #ISBFX have cast their votes.
