My ultimate Christmas Cocktail, the Poinsettia, is of course #RecipeOfTheDay, and I raise a glass to you! I won’t be on here for the rest of today, but before I go off to peel my potatoes let me wish you all a very Merry Christmas! 🎄♥️🎄 www.nigella.com/recipes/poin...

You could argue that the roast potatoes are the most important element to get right at Christmas. Perfect Roast Potatoes create perfect happiness. Which is why they are, indeed, #RecipeOfTheDay! www.nigella.com/recipes/perf...

By this time tonight I was meant to have made my bread sauce, cranberry sauce and begun the gingerbread stuffing, and yet I find myself, tasks still undone, on my sofa, with drink and cake to hand, happily gazing at my Christmas-Grotto-garden. Rather thrilled with my new light-up deer, I must say.

I can’t pretend this is a festive suggestion as I’m not sure that a book about the trial of a woman who poisoned her in-laws is a tactful Christmas present, but The Mushroom Tapes: Conversations on a Triple Murder Trial by Helen Garner, Chloe Hooper and Sarah Krasnostein is just too brilliant 1/4

Tomorrow evening it’ll be my annual duty to vaguely shepherd the activity on the #duvetknowitschristmas hashtag and urge people to give small sums to charity. 7.30pm? Something like that?

OK, so I know it sounds odd to be suggesting a Summer Pudding in the middle of winter, but 1) it works brilliantly with frozen berries; 2) a bit of sharpness and zing can be just the ticket over Christmas; and 3) it’s just perfect for those in the Southern Hemisphere! www.nigella.com/recipes/summ...

I know I wrote about this and gave a link to the recipe in my Season’s Eatings post on December 1st, but since I so love this new recipe, and it’s the latest you can make it in comfortable time for the festivities, I just had to post my Christmas Loaf Cake again now! www.nigella.com/recipes/chri...

Since I posted the Spiced Peaches to go with my Christmas ham earlier, I thought I may as well do the decent thing and alert you to this Slow-Cooked Black Treacle/Molasses ham recipe which I’m planning to do this year. It’s just so very good, and so very easy. www.nigella.com/recipes/slow...

We all have our own traditions: one of mine is the time-honoured pairing of my Christmas ham with these Spiced Peaches that are #RecipeOfTheDay! I’m talking tinned or jarred peaches, obviously, though those in the Southern Hemisphere have the good fortune of fresh. www.nigella.com/recipes/spic...

I have just gone through a weird mental journey from “never heard of these things” through “hang on just making stuffing as a snack, is that even allowed?” to “I must have this, immediately, where can I get some panettone” in the space of about forty seconds
Panettone Stuffing Squares are. #RecipeOfTheDay! I think of them as savoury brownies and serve them as a canapé with drinks rather than to accompany the turkey, but you could absolutely do that, too! www.nigella.com/recipes/pane...
