Successive UK governments have created a student loan system which *actively* embeds unfairness and inequality between and within generations.

Finally, (some) politicians are waking up to it. It needs complete and urgent reform. Special News Agents report.

Interesting. I often wonder what impact this has on the output of women vs men in the military history world. I reckon it’s often easier for men to smash out a book a year or do youtube live streams 6-9pm (children bedtime, dinner time etc) for example.

So I have just read the chapter on British bombing of Germany in 1943 in @alanallport.bsky.social new book and it is one of the best pieces of historical writing I have ever read. Research, fine judgement and sensibility combined with style. History is fundamentally writing and this is a model.

No surprise there then!

Guys and gals, please do give my pal Carla-Jean a follow. She is a brilliant historian of First World War photography and a wonderful human being.

Also Them: ’That’ll be £66 day return for your 1hr 10min journey’

Hey, guess what? Finding out that a huge number of wealthy and powerful men were happy to be friends with a convicted paedophile and prey on women, AND major institutions have been happy to cover it up is NOT NEWS TO WOMEN. It is the daily misogyny we face daily magnified.
