The US government is summarily executing people on a weekly basis without telling the American people any of their names or presenting any proof of their guilt, for alleged crimes that do not carry the death penalty in the US.

Another commenter pointed it out, but it’s the fact that people like to complain. This reminds me of that Gen Z poll result that stated they thought they needed a couple million a year to live a normal middle class lifestyle. Lotta delusional people out there 😂.
I would be really interested in an analysis of why people find this post compelling.

Like I get why people like the conclusion. I don't understand how people don't read it and see that it's just finger painting.
This article is comically, comically bad. It literally uses the mean expenditures on a bunch of items to determine absurd “affordability” lines and then uses that to argue that the majority of America - the richest country on earth - is living in poverty

This is how they covered B*iden and H*arris as well. The media is complicit in this takeover and I’ll never believe otherwise.

This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.

I’ve said this before; when you go to lower SES neighborhoods, you begin to notice the car noise when it wouldn’t have registered even 5 years ago.
In certain other areas of the city you forget cars even make noise.
It's weird - but now in Oslo, there's so many EVs that you notice the noise and the smell from individual ICE cars, and you realise how much we've been normalising it for ever. You can smell them half a street away.

And inside parking lots are just *quiet*.
It's absolutely astonishing: In just about 13 years, Norway has skyrocketed from virtually no sales of zero-emission battery electric vehicles to nearly 100% of all new passenger car purchases.

I find I can’t muster a proper response to either the Tylenol madness or the U.N. appearance. At some point it is just too ridiculous. It would feel insane to offer sane commentary.

Becoming increasingly clear we’re gonna have to build a parallel infrastructure for all the media we really love. The reason all of this is happening under the color of law is hyperconsolidation, dissent being traded straight up for merger approval, or fear of harassment.

If today's GOP controlled Supreme Court had to rule on Brown v. Board of Education, they would have sided with the segregationists and allowed Jim Crow laws to remain in force. That is why we know that next term they will effectively end the Voting Rights Act.

My prediction is that in that scenario, he blames the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which puts out employment data. Calls them corrupt, run by Democrats, out to get him. Fires people there, insists their numbers cannot be trusted, White House puts out its own fictitious data to make Trump look good
