A whole host of overpaid consultants and talking heads told them not to do the right thing and they still chose to do the right thing, so I'd even go a step further and encourage people to contact Senators who opposed this measure (SB 9) and thank them for standing by trans people and our families
I want to quickly say how significant it is that after the last election, Dems have held relatively strong on trans rights, even on sports.
Senators in battleground states are not flipping.
Their one scuff was the NDAA, where some did flip.
Budget fight is next though.

If you continue to remain silent on immigrant rights, this should be your sign (since you missed the other 1000) that this isn't going to stop at migrants. This isn't just an issue for undocumented people. I hate telling others to see value once it hits them, but that's what's happening here.

The idea that a "trans person" is a special kind of other person that's given conditional concessions under strict supervision rather than transition being an autonomous action that literally anyone should be able to take only reinforces the power upheld by the ruling class for millennia
A good place to look is at Thai activism, where HRT is OTC and the fight for both gay marriage and trans recognition is focusing on the immorality of mandating specific forms of gendered existence on citizens who should have the right to live as they wish, not as the state mandates.
