This is just not true @nytimes.com this is why the fucking NYT is so fucking pernicious. Little falsehoods that prop up the framing that removed would force them to confront the reality that they are carrying water for unpopular fascists. www.nytimes.com/2025/12/23/u...

The hellsite’s true joy: rich guys explaining to the world they’re dumb as hell
Are you ok with rich people having access to the most expensive doctors and hospitals and you don't because the gov won't pay for it or they opted out of the Universal care program ?

Do you think it's right for doctors and nurses to only work for what they think is a living wage ?

Democrats would be crazy not to make this comment super-famous tomorrow when the Senate debates health care. Republicans don’t want you to be cared for as a patient when you’re sick. They think of you as a “consumer”—and tough luck if you don’t have the money for the care you need.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

On the one hand, we don’t require a trial by jury for all crimes. Nor does the constitution. So the bottle of whisky example is a bad one to pick on. That said, Jesus fucking Christ are those quotes ignorant about the theory and practice of the criminal justice system.
This is quite a thing to say when arguing to get rid of the jury right.

I mean ... how do we KNOW this person took the bottle of whiskey? "The guilty deserve fewer protections" assumes away the WHOLE POINT OF THE JURY.

That said, there's an interesting US-centric point lurking here too:

Everyone is dunking on Kim Kardashian. The truth is the California bar is notoriously hard, the pass rate was only 55%, the pass rate for people who didn‘t go to an accredited law school is way lower, and lots of very smart and dedicated people don’t pass the first time and become good lawyers.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

This is wrong. Lawyers like Katyal can pick and choose who to represent and make millions a year regardless, and those clients could hire any number of qualified SCOTUS solicitors. Katyal is making a choice. And that choice shows who he is.
Who he is: he's an attorney. We don't and can't always represent our personal opinions when we take on clients. I do believe there should be limits on whom we represent, but holding lawyers to purity tests in their choice of clients is, IMO a mistake.
