I can’t believe I have to say this, but historically, masked men who kidnap families in the middle of the night are usually not the good guys.

"This isn't a country of violence"

Yes it is.

It always has been. We were built on it, we enslaved people, we killed its indigenous people and we've killed countless people in our name and continue to do so. The death of a pundit who was famous for stoking violence doesn't change that.

Their memorials are history. Ours are political. Because as always, there are two sexualities - straight, and political.

Two genders - male, and political.

Two religions - Christian, and political.

Two races - white, and political.

To be clear on what they're proposing: human beings using water for drinking, washing, and growing crops will be rationed.

The AI datacenters will have all the water they can contaminate.
Some places will have to start rationing water - to enable AI slop.

"A data center like Meta’s, which was completed last year, typically guzzles around 500,000 gallons of water a day. New data centers [will] require millions of gallons of water a day"

Just a reminder that literally nothing can happen - anonymous comments made on Facebook! - and you can write a big negative story about a politician if you don't like them and have it blasted across social media with a negative photo choice

Across various private New York Facebook groups viewed by CNN – such as those for residents of the Upper East Side – some users have anonymously discussed potential plans to move out of the city following Zohran Mamdani’s primary win. cnn.it/3IpkOjr

This is what pure evil looks like. No compassion, no empathy, no soul.
Q: "A 75 year old Cuban national died in ICE custody. He had lived in the U.S. for 60 years...Is there anything you can tell us about that?"

Border Czar Tom Homan: "People die in ICE custody. People die in county jails. People die in state prisons."

IT’S FUCKING CHESS

What POSSIBLE advantage, even in the warped mind of a transphobe, could being transgender give you at chess? They’re so nakedly hateful they just can’t stand any trans person winning anything ever. Pathetic.

If it bleeds it leads unless it's a Republican committing the terror than it's normalized, infantilized and forgotten.

Look at pro Palestinian college student! Get em!
hey remember when a rich ceo died then when they caught the suspect they made a circus of it like they found osama bin laden and charged him with terrorism but less than weeks ago two democrat lawmakers and their spouses were shot as literal assassination to shift control and everyone already forgot

How do you make yourself into the persecuted victim when these supposed illiberal ideologues are facing a sustained campaign of eradication from the wealthiest and most powerful people in society, overwriting scientific research and medical practice by fiat? How are we the illiberals here?
This is just a litany of aesthetic gripes and pet peeves. The fact that he cannot recognize the same hollow arguments from the years he spent debating gay marriage shows how pickled his brain has become.

So much of Democratic politics in the last decade has been about voting against a candidate & a platform (Trump, obviously). But what has made Mamdani appealing is not just the rebuke to Cuomo, but giving people someone & something to vote FOR — voting out of genuine inspiration, not just fear.

No, New York Times. That's not what trans people are saying.

Those motherfuckers want to privatize nearly the entirety of the the cascade wild lands. The green “for sale” areas in Oregon includes the majority of the Hood, Willamette, Umpqua and Deschutes National Forests. These are some of the most beautiful, rugged and wild areas left in the western US.
