Increasingly I feel like I favor furry because it espouses the idea that humans, for all our mastery over nature, are still animals. We need to nap and wander and frolic and utter strange noises. It is good for us to be weird little guys, which is something society is so committed to stripping away.

Pretty awesome how every girl with a muzzle on here had to spend like a few hours making the straps human-compatible first. Just sitting there cutting and trimming and adjusting the signifier of your fate, holding it in your hands, staring down at it, at the task, pushing yourself towards this. Cool

This is why the reactionary centrists rely so heavily on these "systematic reviews" to fool gullible liberals into believing that the bigotry is somehow backed by science when it isn't. They ignore or attack the reports that don't align with their ideological beliefs.

Notably, the New York Times did not cover this at all despite giving glowing coverage to the Cass Review including an interview. This is the bias inherent to their coverage. They only covered the review that aligned with their ideological goals.

Utah commissioned it's department of health to do a systematic review of gender affirming care for trans youth. In a 1000 page plus report found it was beneficial and the evidence was substantial. The lawmakers rejected it anyways.
