I was called weird or worse fully through school, but (more out of autistic distraction than anything) mostly didn't carry my peers' opinions with me. I just kept on my own pace, and bore no shame about it. Lucky me I had that capacity, and enough support to make it with. I was very happy-go-lucky.🧵
Gently, some of y’all have got to recover from being called “weird” in high school and start blocking people instead of trying to convince them you’re not. Be weird and distance yourself from the people who are too embarrassed to be weird themselves.
